			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We get asked about this quite often, and changing or adding a signature to your TremenDesk replies is simple.  After you login to your TremenDesk, click on <strong>My Profile and Preferences</strong>.  From here, scroll down to the <strong>User Profile </strong>section, where you should see a big empty text box just waiting for your signature.</p>

<p>Inside the text box, you will type out your own signature.  HTML or any other special code is not allowed, however you can insert text and web page URLs.  When you write you an address <em>(for an example, like </em><em>http://www.tremendesk.com</em><em>)</em> it will automatically be turned into a clickable link when somebody sees it in the ticket.  Also page breaks are also recognized, so you can have multiple lines, such as:</p>

<p>When you insert an e-mail address, it too will be clickable when when shown in a ticket too.  Once you have completed your signature or signature edits, click on the “Save” button on the bottom of the Edit Profile web page.</p>
<p>Now, with each ticket you reply to, you will see your signature has been automatically added to the message before you even start typing.  This is just one more feature that makes the TremenDesk help desk one of the best hosted help desk solution.<br />

<p>All outgoing emails originating from your desk can have a global signature, usually your company name and contact number, appended to the bottom. This global signature is different than the per-user signature that is only appended to the bottom of all ticket replies. </p>

<p>All outgoing emails originating from your desk can have a global signature, usually your company name and contact number, appended to the bottom. This global signature is different than the per-user signature that is only appended to the bottom of all ticket replies. </p>
<p>To set your site&#8217;s global email signature: </p>

<p>Thanks to the easy way that TremenDesk allows you to assign an e-mail address to each ticket queue, you can now filter your small business’s e-mails in a more effective way.&#160; Instead of using yourself as the main “go to” guy or gal, you can create a number of different e-mail addresses based around your business such as:</p>
<ul>
<li>ads@yourowndomainname.com for advertising request </li>
<li>contact@yourowndomainname.com for contact requests </li>
<li>support@yourowndomainname.com for support requests </li>
<li>feedback@yourowndomainname.com for customer feedback </li>
</ul>
<p>The possibilities with this type of e-mail based filtering goes on and on.&#160; Now you have specific types of requests being filtered to different parts of your own TremenDesk help desk.&#160; You can then manage each in a much more organized way or assign the duty of replying to them to others in your business with out giving them access to the full e-mail account.</p>

<p>So what is a blacklist?&#160; A blacklist is, as the name implies, a list of items who have met a certain criteria that will prevent that item from interacting with the desk. That is, any item that appears on the blacklist will not be able to interact or use the desk. Currently, there are three types of blacklists available on the desk. </p>
<p>All blacklists can be set to <em>expire</em> after a certain time and date. Expired blacklists will not be automatically removed to allow the chance of extending the blacklist without having to re-enter them back into the desk. </p>
<p><a name="email_blacklisting"></a><strong>E-mail Help DeskBlacklisting</strong></p>
<p><em>E-mail blacklists</em> contain email addresses and domain names that have been essentially banned from the desk. An example of when you might need this is when a known email address continues to send tickets to the desk and you would like to prevent them from sending more. </p>
<p><a name="ip_blacklisting"></a><strong>IP Address Help Desk Blacklisting</strong></p>
<p><em>IP blacklists</em> contain IP addresses that have been banned from the desk. An example of when you might need this is when an unknown user is sending spam messages to the desk. </p>
<p><a name="subject_blacklisting"></a><strong>Subject Line Help Desk Blacklisting</strong></p>
<p><em>Subject blacklists</em> contain email subjects that have been banned from the desk, preventing users from creating a ticket containing the predetermined email subject. For instance, you may have legitimate users whose email addresses are being forged, so you cannot ban the email address or IP address. If you know the example of spam being sent in, you can set subject blacklists to weed out those fraudulent emails from the desk. </p>

<p>If you forgot your password and need to reset it:</p>
<ol>
<li>Go to your desk, and click the <strong>reset your password</strong> link in the sidebar, or the login page. </li>
<li>Enter your username or email address with which you signed up on the desk in the <strong>Username or email</strong> field. </li>

<p>Here are the basics on how to map an e-mail address to a queues:</p>
<ol>
<li>Go to the <strong>Admin</strong> menu.</li>
<li>Go to the <strong>Ticket Queue Management</strong> menu.</li>
<li>Choose an existing queue from the list.</li>
<li>Go to the <strong>E-Mail Addresses</strong> section on the page.</li>
<li>Enter the email address you would like to map to the desk in the text field, and click the <strong>Add this E-Mail</strong> button.</li>
</ol>
<p>This is the usefulness of the TremenDesk help desk in action.  Now you can easily map an e-mail address to a queue, with absolutely no fuss at all.  It is something that takes five seconds to do, and adds so much functionality to an already superb help desk product.</p>
<p><strong>Reminder:</strong> If your domain is hosted or registered with another company, you will need to make sure it is pointed at <em>ns1.tremendesk.com</em> and <em>ns2.tremendesk.com</em>.  Once you have done so, you can handle things like e-mail creation correctly, through the TremenDesk interface.<br />
